Solve : Have a system error message?

Answer» HELLO all you awesome guys and gals!

I'm always in awe that you computer gurus can do what you do. Me, I'm a nurse. Simple.

I've been having periotic error messages of different types. But, today it got real BAD and I did a SYSTEM Restore.

That came back and said to go do some troubleshooting. I did and this is the message I got back:

"A service is reported as having an unexpected error code Cause: One or more services has failed. The service did not stop gracefully, suggesting the service may have crashed or one of its components stopped in an unsupported way.
Details: Service exited with code not equal to 0 or 1077
Resolution: Restart the service"

I have no clue what that means, if it's serious or not or what to think.

Can one of you help?

Thanks! Pennie

What exactly do you mean "That came back" ? The error did? What kind of hardware do you have?Click on Start Menu.

Open RUN. Type mmc devmgmt.msc and press Enter.

You'll get a window called Device Manager.

Explore each one of the devices and CHECK if there is any exclamatory icon on the device.

If yes, post a screenshot of that window. Device manager has nothing to do with services not starting.
