Solve : HD Displays Error???? |

Answer» I was changeing the CD/DVD Drives an the pc booted up like it should then I TRIED to start it once the drives where changed cause they where my fathers. I got an error when it tried to load the os. invalid boot.ini file booting from c:/winnt/ then it goes to the next screen where the 2k load bar appears an says windows 2000 could not start because the following file is missing or corrupet: /winnt/system32/config/SYSTEMced start up options for windows 200 press F8. You attpemt to repair this file by starting windows 2000 setup using the orginal setup disk. select 'R' at the first screen to start repair. I used a xp cd an selected repair but no changes.Perhaps a fresh install is your only option.Never, that is out of the question but if I have too. I have data on here an lots of installed programs. It makes it hard cause the only connection I have is dial up here.
