hi can anyone HELP its sending me mad.
ive got absolutely no idea what ive done but every time i try and open something on my desktop or anywhere, i get a box that says run as, then current user(paul\paul1), then a ticked box that says protect my computer and data from unauthorised programme activity.  and unless i un check it it wont let me access things i can still open things as long as i uncheck it but im getting annoyed with doing it does anyone know how to turn it off. and also up to a week ago when you switched computer on at the POINT of the windows logo i used to have to click on a user which was only just my dad no others but now it just goes straight through whats happened there and how do i get it back to how it was id appreciate any help whatsoever also we are on windows xp pro sp2 Quote

Scan for Viruses, Trojan Horses and Spyware.

Has you dad wrote a bat file?ta rap no need for that im new at this and miss read.
ive alredy scanned for all that and got rid of a few i used norton system works and  trojan guarder  and bt yahoo anti spyware, could i be missing any of them if so is there a way to get to them. if not how do i get things back to how they are.


no bat files have been made what is a bat file just encase

appreciatedeither use norton go backor re-boot pc and hold the F8 key and chose last good config...a bat file is use for people to access files and carry out tasks that the user wishes the pc to do...ta merlin   ive tried doing that re booting and going back to  last good config but it was still same  after, i erased norton cause it was messing my computer about and wouldnt WORK all the time, just got the free avg on at moment. any other suggestions matey

1 - Erm, no, I don't think he mis-read "heeeeeeeelllllllllp". The point he was making was that you should be more descriptive in your title. Perhaps "Program prevents opening of files" would have been a better choice.

2 - Being new is not an excuse. A brain damaged squirrel could have worked out that someone won't know what the message is about from just "heeeeeeeelllllllllp" but would have more of an idea with my example. In short: Get a grip.

3 - Erm, paragraphs, full stops, sentences? Anyone?
