Answer» Help! I have an HP Pavillion laptop running Windows XP. A freind's child was over and got her hands on the keyboard, OPENED a TON of windows, and now we cannot pick-up any wireless signals. I know the wirele4ss in the house is ok because I am writing this with the other computer. Is this as SIMPLE as she somehow shut off an ANTENNAE?If your wireless connection is located on the taskbar...lower right...near your clock, you can right-click the icon and select Repair. Otherwise, find the icon in your Network Connections and do the same thing. If neither of these work, try restoring your computer to the time before the child got their hands on your keyboard.Many laptops also have a switch on them to turn the wireless receiver on/off.
