Answer» I'm facing a problem during shutdown. After starting shutdown process, it runs with no problems until the the last Windows message ("Windows will be turned off or something similiar). At this point, my PC freezes and I need to force shutdown by pressing and holding "On/off" key on my PC. When I start PC again, the disk VERIFICATION process starts running and always some files are corrupted. I tried to reinstall all sw I could, in order to repair a possible corrupted file, but with no success. I tried to find a sw able to manage the shutdown to identify the process that is causing the problem but I couldn't find anyone. Please, do you have any suggestion or comment? Please, let me know.
Thank you very much,
AurelioACNeto,
I deleted your other post as only one is NECESSARY.
Has it always been this way? What happened prior to this if not? Any new hardware or software CHANGES, monkeying in the BIOS, etc? What version of Windows. Sorry, I should have deleted first post because I considered I posted in a wrong place. I had this problem few months ago, but it was fixed reinstalling netscape. I started having this problem again few days after adding a new LG DVD RW and installing the sw PACKET (In CD, Nero, Power DVD and Acrobat). I tried reinstall them many times but problem persists. I'm running Windows XP, version 2002, SP2. Thank you very much.
Regards,
Aurelio Try going to Add/Remove programs and getting rid of INCD... see if this resolves this issue. That program lasted about 20 minutes on my machine. There are other packet-writing programs out there.
patio. 8-)Agreed. InCD CAUSES more problems than it has ever solved.
