Answer» I just tried a few linux distros and erased XP. I decided to return to XP and I restored my system. The restore finished and it boots but I can't CONNECT to the internet, my SCREEN resolution is 1024x786 instead of 1280x1024 and it LOOKS really bad and I can't set up a wireless connection. What should I do ? I can't do anything ! Should I try to format and then restore again ?Can anyone help ? Is it a drivers problem because under Device Manager it shows my ethernet controller as an unknown device. How can I make everything normal again Anyone ?You should boot from XP CD and delete all partitions then create a new one with XP CD and install fresh, that will work. CigarmanI don't have an Xp CP. Only a system restore. When I boot it I get the following options, "Press R to do a full restore." and "Press Q to quit."And I suppose this is a laptop? And probably an HP?
