I am RUNNING windows XP, and nowadays whats weird is that when I connect to the internet, I can connect for a while but after about 5 minutes or so, I get a pop up saying that Internet Explorer needs to close.  And then it stops responding.

How do I fix this
Did you INSTALL any new programs or hardware before this STARTED to happen? Can you remember if anything unusual happened before this? Here's some links that might help.

3) Try a reset: From within IE7: Tools>Internet Options>Advanced Tab.Actually i can access the internet with firefox.  However, IE always seems to encounter a problem and needs to close. 

I was wondering what was going on but I guess Ill just use firefox
