Make sure, you are searching CD only, NOT your hard drive.i looked for it in removable disk C: ?? i THINK thats where it should be but i did not find it.i opened my computer but it only has floppy disk A and removable disk C

thanxQuote
in removable disk C
What would be your hard drive's letter? It must be C. It looks like your CD drive is not listed in "My Computer".
Have it ever worked?yes i think so. but i havent actually loaded a software for months so i dont kno. i dont have any thing else listed in my computer except the removable disk drive C which i thought was the drive! but i guess not if i dont have a drive do you know how i am supposed to install one???

thanx so much for helping me!! Do you have any music CD, you can TRY to play in your CD drive? Will it play?no it doesnt play! havent got a clue why it isnt working :/Go Start, Settings, Control Panel, System, click on Device Manager tab
What do you have listed under CD-ROM drives (if any)?Quote

Do I feel the GENTLE tug of chains being pulled?

If the CD-ROM drive is listed as "drive C", then something very strange has happened, so I wonder, what letter is the Windows system drive, and how come it isn't C?
