Answer» when i go to folder OPTIONS in the "tools" and i change the check box of hidden files to "show hidden files and FOLDERS" and then after pressing apply and then ok .the hidden files are still not visibe and in the folder options the check box is automatically changed to "don't show hidden files"when i check it back plz help me i had very important dataTry to go to folder options. FIRST thing to do is choose "show hidden files and folders" . Second thing is uncheck "hide extension for known file types" and "hide PROTECTED operating system files". Hope this solves your problem.Have you run a virus/spyware scan recently? Alan <>< That's it.You may find that you have to go to every file individually to change it to non hidden. Thats why you hide a file to make it HARD to find..As stated before, it's most likely an infection.Broni is probably right mate best to follow his advice..
