Please help!
    I just bought a DVD drive LITEON and When I play DVD movies I can't hear any sound .If I play cd or VCD, have sound.
Somebody can help me! I don't have much idea with computer.

Thanks in advance!do you have the most up to date drivers for you dvd drive?? is it pluged in right??yes.it is a plug in and I'm using nero 7 as a software.its included when I bought it.Does the drive need a cable to connect it to the sound card / if so, is it connected?

when I bought my dvd drive I just connect it and I let the computer detect it. and I install nero 7 as my player. I dont know why no sound if I play dvd movies but cd and vcd are all ok. is it my computer is too slow or under requirement of this dvd drive(LITEON)?I read from the box, : REQUIREMENTS:FOR DVD R/RW PLAY PERFORMANCE

Im just using my office computer.
I already CHECK the device manager,computer properties and hardware and everything looks ok.
I also tried to change now to windows xp .reinstall nero 7 again and there is somthing during installation that I see:a comment ((AC3 to 2channel which is missing from nero7)). and itsays I need to download a Nero7 trial version tohave this  AC3 to 2channel converter. do you think this is the problem?

Im changing shift and just now again able to reply.

my current version of nero7 is a cd included on a package when I bought my LiteOn dvd drive. I already upgrade to win xp but still the same problem .Still need an AC3 to 2channel converter.  thanks to all of you ,

I already fix the problem regarding my dvd player.
what I do is uninstall nero7 and install CYBERLINK DVD .
And everything become ok!!!
My SUSPECT is my Nero7 .
