Answer» Please help me, when I turn on my dell (WINDOWS XP home) it would go to the loading PAGE (black screen with words "windows xp" with a long bar and three tiny bars running across the long bar) and just stay there. I left the computer on the entire night and the next morning I turned the monitor on, it is still on that screen. Safe mode does not load at all either. Please tell me what I should do, I don't WANT to reformat the computer because I have many important documents in there and I don't have any backup files. Your first job is to backup your files, I suggest you slave/install your hdd in another PC and backup the files which you should have backed up if they are important to you... The importance of backup cannot be overstressed. Forget trying to repair your operating system until your backup is secure, repairing the operating system can be done later. Good luck. If you don't have a spare Hard Drive, CD's aren't EXPENSIVE. |
