I tried to open a '.exe' file but the pc didn't know what to open it with, so i just chose adobe reader just to see what would happen... Now i have found that all '.exe' files try to open with adobe reader!!! Of course this does not work.... so i was wondering how to return it back so '.exe' files open.

even if u did it wont affect other exe files...Hmmm... Exe's are executable files, they don't "open" with anything.

Unless... Are you sure you have your Folder Options set to show file extensions?

It could be that they are being hidden but the file is named, for example, file.exe(.mp3) < the ".mp3" being hidden? TRAVEL Here for a FIX to your problem.

It's the 9th one on the list. Click it to DLoad the file. You then need to unzip it to the desktop using WinZip or 7Zip...once it's unzipped double click on the file and answer Yes to the Import question...re-boot the machine and you should be good to go.Nice one patio, Didn't know the assosiation of exe's could be changed.Doug Knox is one of my personal heroes....been around the block a few times.
