I'm having trouble getting on to the Web. It is trying to RENEW my IP address. I have tried the IPCONFIG /renew and it hasn't worked. I have tried everything I can think of. Plus my toolbar has turned grey; I think this is a Theme thing that I don't know how to change. Thanks for any helpTypically, you need to release your old IP before you can get a new one.

Try to turn off your modem if you are connected through DSL Modem and then try to reset it by pressing "Reset Button" from the back of the modem.
Then try to connect and it should work. However if it does not work please reply with the error message in the next post.

There is one more possibility that your account from the ISP is been blocked or is not working. So try to contact your ISP. Quote

If you reset the modem like this you will need to set it back up. I wouldn't do that. Just shut everything down.....modem....router....computer. After a moment start the modem and wait for it to come backup....about 1 min....then restart your router...wait about 1 min....then restart your computer.

If you reset a modem it will reconfigure itself upon power up.
