I need help with my naughty MOUSE!We went from win 98 to XP. Just bought the new pc tower and keyboard and  stayed with our old mouse monitor. Ever since we hooked up the new tower the mouse will open things with one click and when I TRY to drag an icon it will open it instead! If you are surfing and you want to go back one page and you click back one time you can hear 2 fast CLICKS and it goes back 2 pages! I never installed the drivers for the old mouse or anything cause when I hooked up the tower everything was recognized already so i diodn't see any need to install software for the mouse and monitor.I have already checked and it is set to select with 1 click and open with 2 and is set for right hand not left.Don't know what else to try.It is very irritating! My icons got scattered all over my desktop but if I try to PUT them back by holding down the mouse key and dragging them they will open instead.Thanks for any help you can give. My printer is also not working right since I hooked up the new tower.It prints some of what I want and leaves out the most of it.Shpould I install the software for that.Uninstall the printer then reinstall it?Buy a new PS2 optical mouse. (Or USB--->PS2 compatible)
Uninstall your printer and reinstall from scratch c/w drivers.Did you move the hard drive from the old machine to the new one?
