I can not OPEN a .ppt file

Error reads: COULD not open because no converter for this file type is installed.With what software are you TRYING to open the .ppt?Windows XPThat's the operating system.  What program within XP are you using to TRY to open the file?try to reinstall the microsoft ofce



The IT guy is out so I can't reinstall MS office.   I will have to redo the Powerpoint.
