today i had to buy a new hard-drive, as the other one went kaputt. Anyway, it has been installed successfully. However, i have NO sound whatsoever now...my speakers are internal, and i use windows 20.
Any ideas?
RussCan you post some more information about your computer? For example, make, model, components
Do you have any problems showing in Device MANAGER?
Does your sound card show up in Control Panel?If it's a brand new HDD with a clean install of Windows you still need to re-install all the DRIVERS for your machine...
Start with the MBoard drivers first.hi there..the comp says 'intel inside' pentium 4....it's about 6 years old, i recieved it 2nd hand from my university only on wedmnesday. last night, sound via internal speaker was fine - but now, nothing.
it will sound ignorant, but how do iintstall all the drivers for my machine? thanks patio...
And Calum - when i go to control panel, the volume adjust slide button is not highlighted,so i cannot alter it

Here is all the information on that board. Very nice except it uses RDRAM, which is expensive, so that 128 meg. you apparently have will be what you get unless you wan to spend some ca$h. Win 2000 is your best bet, as that may be enough.
