i have a hp computer with a/v components on the outside, my xbox is hooked into it but i cant use them?

You've hooked up the Xbox's video output to the computer........now....?i have it plugged in but i dont no how to display it.Not SURE you can. I WOULD think it needs to be plugged into the monitor itself.
Or....am I correct in assume you are trying to record what goes on in the Xbox?i have component input on my computer.So.....are you trying to record your own xbox videos?
no IM tryting to use the components to use my xbox through the computer.
