Answer» i am in need of major help.... OS?Windows XPWhen you reboot don't you have the option to log in to the admin account?Quote from: Allan on August 20, 2011, 02:26:53 PM When you reboot don't you have the option to log in to the admin account? No it doesn't show just the new profile one.I'm not exactly SURE what you've done because you should always have the option to login to the admin account. Anyway, reboot and when the system starts begin tapping the F8 function key. Then go to safe mode and choose the admin account. From there you can either delete the new user account, change the way you login, or change it to boot directly to the admin account. This may help: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Autologon.htmhi! well am not sure too about this but u can go to cmd then type net user user_name /delete (where "user_name" is the name of the user u created) and then enter this is to delete the account u just created and am sure if the computer cant find that user account it must go 2 any existing user!! which is the admin user!! This is what you'll do. Either log out of the account or put a password on it and don;t sign in. In any case, just get to the log-in screen. Now press ALT+CTRL+DEL (and press it about three TIMES quickly, what I would do is hold ALT and CTRL and press the DEL key down quickly 3 times). This will take you to an alternate log-in screen. Type the username "Administrator" and your password if you have one. Now that you're in the administrative account, you can delete the other account. |
