Solve : Hide icon in file?

Answer»

I need some way to hide an icon in a batch file, and then use it as the display icon.If it helps, I could transform it into an exe.I thought icons were usually stored in DLL FILES... Quote from: kpac on June 23, 2010, 03:20:30 PM

I thought icons were usually stored in DLL files...

executables and dlls are the same type of file, they are just used differently.

many executables have a NUMBER of icons in thier resources. Explorer.exe, for instance.

Windows uses the first icon it FINDS in the resource table to represent the EXECUTABLE.How do you add something to the resource table, then? Quote from: flytothemoon on July 05, 2010, 11:54:48 AM
How do you add something to the resource table, then?

A:) only executables have resource tables

B:) a batch file is not an executable.

There isn't one.
What I meant was  I can convert it to an exe with a program of mine. Quote from: flytothemoon on July 10, 2010, 04:56:45 AM

Well, whoop-de-doo.

Maybe you should consult that program's documentation, since you don't seem to want to tell us its name.
Ok.
