Solve : How can I create a multi tasked USB drive including Win7 x64+x86 installer?

Answer»

I am tired of formatting my usb drive each time i need to install windows on a different computer.
I would like both version of windows 7 ultimate (32bit+64bit) to be on the same key and if possible, many dos bootable tools, such a hiren boot cd, aomei backupper, linux, windows live, and many more, to choose from a menu.

Is it possible for a single usb drive to do all that?Yes, it has been done.
You can use parts of Linux to create a Multiboot Boot USB stick.
How to Create a EFI/UEFI GRUB2 Multiboot USB drive to boot ISO images
It can boot the Windows ISO. See the link for details.to be clear, linux is very last on my list of priorities(never tried it for more than 5 minutes), im more of a windows guyUnderstood. Here is the story. The GRUB boot loader is the most universal loader available for use plain folk. It has been polished and revised to that it can almost order Pizza to go. (They might have that by now.)

Otherwise, doing Windows only multi boot on a USB is a bit of a up long climb up a steep hill.
But his you Tube video makes it look easy. (Ignore the advertisement.)

Hope that helps. Just Google for Grub4DOS. I have made a pen drive ("USB stick") which has Hiren, Knoppix, Macrium REFLECT, Acronis, GParted, Windows rescue and install disks... all are ISO files... You get a boot menu. It's easy, just read the instructions and follow them.

To be clear, Grub4DOS is a universal boot loader BASED on GNU GRUB. It can boot off DOS/LINUX, or via Windows boot manager/syslinux/lilo, or from MBR/CD. It also has builtin BIOS disk emulation, ATAPI CDROM driver, etc. You don't have to see any "Linux" at all if you choose Windows based ISOs to boot from.
I use one of these: http://www.zalman.com/global/product/Product_Read.php?Idx=750

At first glance it looks like an ordinary 2.5" disk enclosure. However, it can also emulate an Optical drive. You can copy ANY bootable ISO image to it and then boot from it. No need to follow any instructions on how to install the ISO and setup a menu. Simply copy the ISO to the FOLDER on the drive named _iso and it will automatically appear as a bootable entry on the LCD and then you can select and boot from it. My enclosure has a 160G drive in it and I have dozens of ISOs on it that I can boot from. If you have any old floppy disk images, it can boot from them as well.

Things like Grub4Dos are cheaper (free vs $60) but nothing has the Zalman enclosure beat in terms of being versatile and easy to use.
