According to Microsoft,
"The above STOP error means a trap occurred in kernel mode and the trap is either one the kernel is not allowed to have or is always fatal. The most common causes of a STOP 0x7F are: • Low-level HARDWARE CORRUPTION, such as corrupt memory (RAM) • Mismatched memory modules • A malfunctioning motherboard"Travel Here and download MemTest. Use the file to create a bootable CD/floppy. Re-boot with it and let it run a few hours. Any errors at all and you will need to replace the RAM.Everytime i start up my computer i GET the STOP: 0x0000007F message...Its not the main HD it is the secondary HD I have tried usin the xp disc but it wont let me do anything....How can I fix this problem PLEASE PLEASE help me all i need to do is recover the files on this HD
