Solve : how can i log into windows xp if the file msgina.dll isnt loading :(?

Answer»

I took that much needed break. But I'm back at this again. Any help WOULD b great.

I tried the install/repair option from the disk. Some files were not copied for some reason. Now when I turn on my computer and windows xp doesn't finish loading it just stops and stays black. Black screen no mouse. One of the non copied files is mscorwks.dll what do I do try the install/repair again?I'm trying to install again from the windows xp disk.

I reboot from the cdrom and run the first install choice. I press f8 and agree.

Now I'm at a blue screen. It reads, "the following list shows the existing partitions and unpartitioned space on this computer. Then in a rectangular box below are three choices:

-: partition1 [fat]
C: partition2 [ntfs]
E: partition3 [FAT32]

To the right there's numbers of mb and mb free in parenthesis

What do I pick and for which of the 3 partitions? There's three options enter=install d=delete f3=quitI'm back. Can someone help?I tried running the install again on PARTITION c

It tells me that there's already an operating system on partition c.

I'm thinking it doesn't recognize the first instance of windows xp because of the first install/repair attempt. What should I do? I need an EXPERTS advice

Why did the install/repair not go smoothly in the first place? Now I'm screwed

Any ideas?

I def need to get some work done. Its the only computer I have and I've been using my phone to look for help on the webIs this a GENUINE Windows CD you are using ? ?
It's the only reason i can come up with for it not working properly...
