I'd like to have my laptop (win 2000/sp2) boot to administrator w/o having to enter a password.Meaning that when your laptop is stolen, the thief will have complete unfettered access to all your personal information as well as your hardware. There's no personal info here, & if it's stolen, it's gone, passwords & all.I've followed Fed's advice, but see no option to ADD an account ("add" not illuminated, can't enter new acct name, can't remove "built in" acct, etc). Can't do JACK, YET I'm supposedly an administrator.supposedly being the operative word here... Are you the only one that USES this machine ? ? Have you considered backing up and doing a clean install ? ? PATIO. 8-)Try ticking the password box before you try and add a user. |
