:-? hey this is DRIVING me crazy i forgot my administration password for my computer. is there anyway i can recover it or reset it because i'm not allowed to do anything without admistration privileges. can someone please help me to find out my password or reset it or any kind  of advice would help pleaseeeeeeeeeee! :-?Dutty Smoothy..... Perhaps some additional info would help....... For example, What operating system is on the machine ?
Are you able to use the machine as a guest ?
Is this your machine ?
Have you tried going in thru SAFE mode ?
Do you have the windows nice shiny CD if required ?

And last but not least, How do you forget the password on the machine you use all the time ?

YEA it windows xp and i dont USUALLY use it because  its my labtop and i have tried safe mode it didn't work and my cd is scratch. anything else u need to know but can u help me please i would really appreciate it thanks!

and i'm able to use it as a guest! Dutty Smoothy..... ok ...then given you dont use the laptop very often , and you say your ....... copy of the o/s is scratched..... LOL..... why not use the nice shiny Win cd that comes with your desktop and do a format on the laptop and use the serial code that was provided with the laptop?

1) Remember the password on your own machine, OR

2) Reinstall Windows

If you don't have a usable Windows CD, then you need to get one from the manufacturer or buy one from a store.

Other than that we cannot help.
