You can't. Contact the manufacturer and show proof of ownership. Quote from: cryhelp on May 07, 2008, 10:06:15 PM There is almost always one and today two request for password help. The following is a quote from a Mentor concerning just such an issue: no matter the excuse given, we do not explain to people how to do things like this. But Good Luck to you. Wow, I've been quoted. But yeah, we can't help with this. You'll need to contact the manufacturer. The might be able to help you. There is no way to prove that you are the really owner. So we really cant help however if there is truely a problem google will aid you.Quote from: squall_01 on May 08, 2008, 04:40:10 AM There is no way to prove that you are the really owner. If whatever shop did it PROPERLY, the receipt will have the serial number on it, showing they are indeed the owner. This is why you should always save your receipts What operating system are you running? XP? Right click My Computer and than open Manage. In computer MANAGEMENT look for Disk Management. This will show you what the computer sees for hard drives. Quote from: Spoiler on May 08, 2008, 08:48:25 AM What operating system are you running? XP? Patio I went with his first post. Quote ???I have been trying for days to open my BIOSWhat he really was after was to see the 2HD. I just told him to go to the disk manager to set it up. The BIOS saw the drive but it wasn't setup. Sounds like he set it up and now has access to it. No problem Glad it worked out for you. Got it. I assumed ( don't you hate when that happens ? ? ) that he was locked out of the OS when in FACT he was able to boot normally as it were... So in that instance Disk Management IS the way to go. To madamboo: Try entering the BIOS and when you get the prompt for the password just hit Enter for None...it should then let you in if in fact you have never set one. |
