Solve : How do I use internet connection sharing in windows 7?

Answer»

I have a LAPTOP running windows 7 ultimate that has wireless internet access. I want to share this internet access with a desktop (also running window 7 ultimate) that does not have a wireless adapter. What I did so far is: on the laptop, I went to network and sharing center, change adapter settings, highlight the wireless adapter icon and the LAN icon and then right click one of them and say bridge CONNECTIONS. I then CONNECTED the laptop to the desktop via an ethernet CABLE but the desktop doesnt have internet access still. What am I doing wrong
U did or did not bridge the connections ?I clicked on bridge connections, but that DIDNT work. I found out that the problem was that I was using a straight through ethernet cable and not a crossover. Anyway I made a crosover cable and connected the two computers, and used internet connection sharing, and all is well now, it works

By the way, what is the difference between network bridging and Internet connection sharing
