I WANT to reformat C drive and re-install the OS but would like to make a copy first (just in case). I don't recall how to do this and I'm not the original owner of the computer. You can create an image of your entire hard drive, FORMAT drive and put the image BACK on clean hard drive. That image won't fit on CD, or DVD. You need an external hard drive to do it.
