Answer» please help me how can i change or rename a file????where do i need to go in WINDOWS,here the sample...
c:\Documents and Settings\DJ-DASH>
i want to change the DJ-DASH to another name but i dont know how...please help mee....
thanksI don't think you can change that. Many programs require that name. For example, look on your desktop. Everything there is located under C:\Documents and Settings\DJ-DASH\Desktop.Not sure if he needs to change the PATH but just the file name itself... To do so from Windows Explorer find the file...right clik it and select Rename. To change your user name (DJ-DASH): 1. Click START -> Control Panel > User Accounts 2. Click the account, and then click 'Change my name' I did that when I first GOT one of my 'experimental' computers. It changed the username but not the filename. It can't be done, no matter what. If you absolutely must change it, create a new user account and copy all the files and settings over.
