Answer» My desktop got a virus and am wanting to format my drive and install xp again. I have a SYSTEM disk that CAME with a LAPTOP and the PRODUCT key that goes with it. the laptop is no longer in existence. will this work? if so how do I do it? You need to get an original XP CD. Then boot to it and choose the option to format before installing |
