Solve : how to connect to wireless hookup with ethernet-software issue? |

Answer» We recently got a wireless router and have 2 OLDER desktop computers. The newer ONE the installation man gave us a wireless card. The older one he hooked up to the "wireless" box with an ethernet cable. But I cannot get the computer to HOOK up thro the cable--it insists on using the dial up modem. I have Windows ME. How do I direct the computer to go thro the ethernet cable? Thanks. JerryIn Windows Me...go into Internet OPTIONS and select the Connections Tab. MAKE sure Never dial a connection is selected. Save the settings by cicking Apply and/or OK. |
