Alan <><  Hello Kryssy. The first thing I recommend to resolve your problem is to read through the following articles and perform the solutions suggested.

Error MESSAGE When You Install Windows XP: "STOP: c0000218 {Registry File Failure}"

Err MSG: STOP: C0000218 ...Registry Cannot Load the Hive

STOP: C0000218 {Registry File Failure}

If the above solutions don't resolve your problem, then post back here and I will try to guide you through an alternate solution. Post back the results as soon as possible. GOOD Luck.

-- Gokuok so im reinstalling like toshiba said to do with a windows disk. found someone that had one and i still have my keys on the bottom of sticker on laptop for windows. not sure if i should hit repair or fully reinstall . but when i hit repair it asked what file. and would only let me type one letter. so im confused beyond confused.  im trying the complete reinstall now. hopefully it will work. it was fine last night before i shut it down and went to bed. when i woke up it was cranky. i did do a system update that always comes up on the computer. http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

Here is a guide to help you perform a Repair Install.do i do partition 1 or 2 or unused one. ?   how long will this take? will my wireless internet work after this. The one with Windows installed.ok. thanks
