Solve : How To Fix IP Banning On FireFox?

Answer»

I am trying to register on another website forum after being banned.
As I did, I was given this message

Quote

Our server has detected the presence of multiple IP connections from your machine, with one of the connections being an "Open Proxy" or "Blacklisted" IP. Connections of this nature are often used in order to abuse, spam or defraud. Registration is denied until these issues are resolved.

I have windows xp and use fireforx with verizon DSL.
I went to 'tools' clear private data.
Normally this and restarting the computer works, but this time it did not.

I wanted to know if any of you knew what I could do, if there was any configuerations I could do myself to resolve the IP trace, reset, or get a new one to allow me to be on that website undeteched.

Somebody said if I hold a key on the computer for 30 seconds the modem and IP address reset or if I pull the cord, but I have labtop.

Thanks. Are you using Google Web Accelerator?Never heard of it.Well, just TAKE a look at this. It's an old thread about changing your IP address through a batch file.

Also, in Command Prompt, look into ipconfig.

USAGE:

    ipconfig [/? | /all | /renew [adapter] | /release [adapter] |

              /flushdns | /displaydns | /registerdns |

              /showclassid adapter |

              /setclassid adapter [classid] ]

where

    adapter         Connection name

(wildcard characters * and ? allowed, see examples)

    Options:

       /?           Display this help message

       /all         Display full configuration information.

/release     Release the IP address for the specified adapter.

/renew       Renew the IP address for the specified adapter.

/flushdns    Purges the DNS Resolver cache.

/registerdns Refreshes all DHCP leases and re-registers DNS names

/displaydns  Display the contents of the DNS Resolver Cache.

/showclassid Displays all the dhcp class IDs allowed for adapter.

/setclassid  Modifies the dhcp class id.

The DEFAULT is to display only the IP address, subnet mask and

default gateway for each adapter bound to TCP/IP.

For Release and Renew, if no adapter name is specified, then the IP address

leases for all adapters bound to TCP/IP will be released or renewed.

For Setclassid, if no ClassId is specified, then the ClassId is removed.

Examples:

    > ipconfig                   ... Show information.

    > ipconfig /all              ... Show detailed information

    > ipconfig /renew            ... renew all adapters

    > ipconfig /renew EL*        ... renew any connection that has its

                                     name starting with EL

    > ipconfig /release *Con*    ... release all matching connections,

eg. "Local AREA Connection 1" or

                                         "Local Area Connection 2"

Do ipconfig /all and show what returns (it might show multiple IPs).The IP address is assigned by your service provider.....period.

Other than changing providers or contacting them directly there's nothing else you can do.

No amount of fiddling with ipconfig will change this.

What did you do to tick them off ? ?There is a point to being banned from forums, and attempting to regain access will only get your new account banned.

If you are wise you will listen to me:
You were banned. Returning and causing havoc will force them to do this:
They call your ISP or use other means to report you abusing your internet
From this point, one of two things WILL happen:
1) Your ISP shuts your connection down, you no longer gain access to the internet.
2) You receive a complete un-bypassable block from your ISP to that site

Dont give us webmasters grief, for the sake of the internet! I agree with Zylstra. I personally think that it is very irresponsible to give advice on how to get around forum bans. It could be this forum the guy spams next!

tberg224, you sound like a most undesirable character.
Just a quick note to everyone:
Its 3:50AM in the morning, when I replied to this thread, it was more of a stumbling of links that GOT me here.
This post was made June15... and its June 30 right now (on my end of this world it is at least)

For some strange reason, some people think its cool to cause drama on the internet....
Who knows
http://www.boreme.com/media/yr2006/crazy-mean-baby-1.jpgHow do I sound like an undesirable?
People get banned for a variety of reasons, some being purely subjective.
A large board didn't like my opinion of a sports team, one of the many moderators banned the account, and their policy is to not allow second chances, thus when they suspect a poster is an old one irregardless of why they were cut they ban.
I resent being labled undesirable.
Personally, I wouldn't want to go back to a forum if they banned me for something so silly.Well they aren't many good hockey sites out there.I'm sure you'll find a good one if you look hard enough.  You might even find a better one.

If you really want to return, though, you should contact an administrator and hope for the best.IMHO...I think this topic should be closed...

I agree with most members in this thread...if you've been banned from a forum...find another one.

Whatever you did to get yourself banned...I wouldn't recommend doing it on the new forum.  We learn by our mistakes.

We're not here to help you overcome an issue that you are TOTALLY responsible for.  To me...if we did assist you...we'd be responsible and probably held liable if you returned and caused any havoc. Was it your opinion that got you banned, or the actions you took while giving that opinion?
