I went from XP to windows 7. I opened my windows live messenger and only some of the contacts are there. Out of curiosity what version of MSN messenger 7 , 8 etc or are you talking about windows live.

Do you use the MSN browser software or just MSN messenger

Is it POSSIBLE that the contacts are there and are just blocked? if so you can add them back into your list.
