You can buy PIII computers with 80GB HD and 512 MB RAM. I would advise that while buying PCs, make sure that they have same brand and configuration. It will help you to save a lot of time in installation of the softwares in future. Vikas, do you have some kind of budget per PC (or for the whole project)? Knowing this would help a lot in making suggestions on what you can afford. Instead of going with used parts that will most likely have no warranty, there are a number of options out there that are inexpensive and capable of running Office. One of the Acer shops down the road from me had some Acer computers on sale for $150 for a while, including the monitor but excluding Windows. At prices like that, you could get 15 of those with Windows and a basic Office suite for under $6000. You could save even more if you considered switching to a free Office-type program, such as OpenOffice or Lotus Symphony, both of which are compatible with Microsoft Office files.you can buy old refurbished PCs from a wholesaler- best way to get 15 near identical PCs.
