Solve : How to list 'Added' Favorites NON-ALPABETICALLY? |
|
Answer» My Operating System is Windows Vista. I want to be able to list my 'added' favourite sites in NON-ALPHABETICAL order. This was possible for several years after I aquired my computer. One day I turned on as usual to find that the list had become alphabetical. Since that day, even if I re-arrange the list,it always reverts to the alphabetical mode when I restart. I find this very inconvenient. I found it much simpler to group banks, SHOPS, TECHNICAL sites, etc. thus avoiding the necessity to trawl through a very long list especially if I could not REMEMBER the exact name. Can anybody out there help me please? Have you considered organizing your bookmarks/favourites into folders? What internet browser are you using? One feels this is the most poignant question. Internet Explorer is the only one that automatically sorts Favourites, to my understanding. My thanks to Genius and Egghead for their responses. The operating system is indeed Internet Explorer. The only thing I can think of at the moment is given in the first response on this page: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/InternetExplorer/thread/1f99303c-f159-47d8-9855-6a482afd655f It could potentially be quite a long process, however, and it would need to be followed EXACTLY in order to avoid any issues. |
