Solve : how to remove a directory full of directories from Explorer?

Answer»

I had to get my computer fixed by a Tech and as a BACKUP (I guess) he copied "My documents" directory under my name on the C drive.  So now I have two My Documents directories that take up a lot of room on my computer and my External drive copied it also.

I would LIKE to know how to delete it without having to delete each directory that's in it one by one.

Thanks for your help. Some details please.
You have Windows XP and a Technician repatriated it. He left a spare copy of "My Documents" on a spare drive.
IMHO that is not a problem.
The problem is when you do not have a backup.
If you have limited disk space you should:

  • Remove unwanted Videos from the  drive.
  • UNINSTALL large programs you never use.
  • Use DVDs to backup the most IMPORTANT documents.
  • Get a larger hard drive.

Removing a large directory that is PART a backup is not a good idea.
Only remove things  you do not need in the backup. If you delete a directory, all other directories located inside of it will also be deleted.
