Solve : How to send mp3 files via email?

Answer»

I searched three times and have not found anything close to ANSWERING my QUESTION. When I right-click on an mp3 file in my music library I get a drop-down menu with options including "Send to...Mail Recipient" (among others); but when I click on Mail Recipient I get this error message:
"There is no email program associated to perform the requested ACTION. Please install an email program, or if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel."

Obviously I do have email, so I opened Default Programs but I still can't figure out how to do what they SAY. I don't really understand what they want me to do. Can someone please help?

I am using Windows 7 64-bit; HP computer.
It's looking for an installed email client, such as Microsoft Outlook.

What you could always do is attach the MP3 file directly to your email via Internet Browser. Thanks, I tried it doing it that way, by attaching it to an email, since I just use the mail program that comes with my ISP; just waiting to find out if they were able to open and SAVE it. Who knew it could be done that way? It's so simple! But I was under the impression you could only attach text docs or pix...well live and learn!

Thanks again!I just change the file type to something other then mp3 - alerting the recipient he has to change it back.Quote from: Wyngs on May 02, 2013, 10:59:22 PM

But, there's no need to do that, as has been stated in the first reply in this discussion.
