Solve : HP DV4?

I just recently downloaded a repair disc for my DV4 but when I insert the disc and GET to the black screen that tells you how to repair the problem, it will not let me proceed any further. Any HELP?More details are needed...
Where is this "recovery app" from ? ?

I believe Patio was asking you what burning application (software program) you used to burn the repair disc. I expect he overlooked the PART where you wrote
