Answer» Hi there! I have a problem with my laptop. Its an HP Compaq nx6110. When I boot it, SOMETIMES it shows non-system disc and halts. If tried twice, it boots. Secondly, the DVD WRITER can be seen in my computer. Its like its disabled, it can even be seen when inserted... Please help... EdgarDid this just start happening? Check in bios - is the dvd drive listed? Also, boot to the recovery CONSOLE and run chkdsk /rHi! I have finally sorted out the issue. The DVD Drive was out of the port. It SEEMS someone pulled it from the port. For the had DISK problem. It has not misbehaved till now. Thanks. Edgar
