Solve : I can't delete a file? |
|
Answer» Okay, so last night I wanted to rename a file, but I couldn't, because the file was "in use". So, I made a copy of it thinking I could just rename the copy, do what I needed to do with it, and then delete it. No such luck. So I (stupidly) made a copy on the desktop, thinking that maybe it would WORK if it were in a different folder. Nope! So I restarted my computer, and still no luck. I even tried safe mode! What do I do?!?! It's just... um... some music i downloadedFair enough, I was just WONDERING what it was. Have you tried in safe mode? I don't have much experience with Killbox to be honest, so I'm not sure how to get round that error. What processes have you got running? Quote QuoteIt's just... um... some music i downloadedFair enough, I was just wondering what it was. I had it kill explorer and it worked, so thanks!!! I HATE it when there are unnecessary icons on my desktop And it was music... i just didn't want to MAKE known i do that sort of stuff... -JohnNo problem, glad you got it sorted. I don't like unnecessary files, especially ones I can't delete or rename. Quote And it was music... i just didn't want to make known i do that sort of stuff...I can understand. You may want to check for viruses and spyware more frequently if you do that sort of thing . . . not encouraging it, but I'm not going to get on my high horse and so on Quote I'm not going to get on my high horse and so onThanks! I hate it when people do that... -JohnAnnoying, isn't it? Even worse when you know they're right and you're too stubborn to admit it like me . . . Just think about what I said though, "dodgy" music and other things can be dangerous in more WAYS than one. Take care. Quote Annoying, isn't it?Will do. Thanks again! -JohnYou're welcome. See you around. Calum. |
