Answer» Hello, I have an Acer Aspire 5742 with Windows 7. Everything was working fine till about 3 hours ago. Once I've entered my COMPUTER login password, I get a BRIEF flash of my desktop screen then the whole screen is replaced with a 'This programe cannot display the webpage' even though I am not trying to access the internet. I have tried ctrl/alt/del to take me off that screen and attempted to start TASK manager. I am unable to access task manager. I have tried restarting but the same thing happens each time. I'd really appreciate any help, thankyou.Have you recently installed any new programmes? Try BOOTING into safe mode and from there RUN a virus scan and see what happens. From safe mode you can also carry out a system restore if the scan does not fix it. |
