Solve : I cannot get into my d drive?

Answer»

please can you help me i own a toshiba laptop, i run windows xp,i recently went to use my d drive and it CAME up i have a I/O device error ,i have tthe free addition of avg and it tells me i have no virus i am soooo computer illiterate its almost embarrasing is there ANYWAY someone online can actually find the problem by CONNECTING or something???If D Drive is a CD Drive, I found this:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/891894An I/O error normally means problems with the HDD itself...
You may WANT to DLoad and run Toshibas drive diagnostics on that hard drive...
It may be getting ready to go South.
Backup any data you can't afford to lose ASAP.

Were you able to access it before if so what happened since then ?
