What do I have to do to have the properties dialog showing the security tab. The properties dialog that I'm talking about can be shown by right-clicking a folder in the windows explorer.
Attached you'll see a screen shot of the referred dialog I see on my computer (XP).

I hadn't noticed I had left that “USE simple file sharing" bit checked.
Kudos sir! i think the host is FOOL.you didn't SAW the security tab because your disk format is fat32.format it to NTFS you will see the security tab when you right-clicking a file in windows explore. GOOD luck.
