Solve : I dont have a Dvd Decoder installed on my computer??

Answer»

Ok so my computer recently crashed and I was forced to install the operating system again as well as the drivers. The problem is that I was trying to view a DVD movie on my computer but I was unable to. Before my computer crashed I could view DVD movies with no problem. Anyways when I insert the dvd into my computer and select window media player or my media center to play it a message COMES up telling me I dont have a dvd decoder installed in my computer, Technical message: There are no MPEG-2 decoders installed on this computer. My first and second link to pictures contain what drivers I am able to install from my driver and utilites CD that came with my computer. My third and fourth picture link show the message that windows media player and media center give me.

P.S. My computer is a XP and the model is DM061.
Also the dvd slot I am using says Dvd movie on the plastic
THANKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSShttp://www.videolan.org/vlc/But dont i have a devd decoder on my recovery disk?Say again?I mean that a dvd decoder dosent come in the cd recovery disk?
In otherwords the top 2 pictures contain no dvd decoder in them? Long story SHORT, I don't use WMP at all, because of problems like yours.
Why would I SPEND time on downloading and trying tens of codecs, if I can use VLC PLayer, which will play almost anything.
