Solve : I have a document that seems to be "stuck"?

Answer»

I have a document that seems to be "stuck" in my printer cache. It will not print and it will not delete. I have shut down the printer & the computer. I have checked all connections. I am unable to print anything else because this document is in the way. I am able to delete all other documents. I have spent hours trying to fix this. oh, I have deleted the document from my computer (and also the program that it originated on) and it is STILL there. I really hope that SOMEONE is able to give me ideas for this... I would really appreciate any help that I can get.

I almost forgot... I have a DELL Dimension 8250 and I am running Windows XP. The printer is HPC6180. Any other info needed?Go Start>Run, type in:
cmd
Clcik OK.
At COMMAND Prompt type in:
Net Stop Spooler
Hit Enter.
Go to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\spool\PRINTERS and delete the files in that folder.
Then go back to the Command Prompt and type:
Net Start Spooler
Hit Enter.Okay, so I am not very computer literate. This may be a stupid question, but where exactly am I supposed to go to find C:\WINDOWS\System 32\spool\PRINTERS?Go Start>All Programs>Accessories, and CLICK on Windows Explorer.:-[I am so embarrassed... I did that... now what? I'm still not seeing the right spot.Click + next to C drive
Click + next to Windows folder
Click + next to System32 folder
Click + next to Spool folder
Click ONCE on Printers folder.
If you see any files in right pane, delete them all.
Big thankyou! Wish I would have found you sooner! This worked... thanks for your patience with me. Any ideas how I got into this predicament in the first place? You're welcome
Thing like this happened to me, as well on couple of occasions. It just happens.
