Answer» Ok I have a folder that %50 of the time will let me acces it and %50 percent of the time it says it in not on the drive. %100 percent of the time it will not let me deeate it, and there is some hidden read only or somthing setting in it, because it will not let me transfer it in a brefcase. I NEED TO GET RIF OF THIS FILE. :-?
P.S. I know this is not a virus becaue it is just a folder with add couple of jpegs and an .iind (InDesign) file, unless some type of virus infected the folder. That second thero makes no sence thought pecause the other folders in the folder it is in are working fine. PLEASE HELP. :-/ :-/If you are happy to delete the directory & everything in it then Google for Killbox.Im open to ideas but can we maybe TRY something else first. This program seems a little too radical to me at this stage. Then try to delete the offending folder in Safe Mode...Try stopping as many applications and processes as you can.
Most probably its being ACCESSED by some other process.Go into the folder and try deleting each file individually. The ONES that do not let you delete them, right click them one at a time, go to properties and see if they are read only or archive etc. Simply uncheck the boxes to remove this status from them. You can go do folder options > view to check if you are able to see hidden files.
Hope it helps. What version of Windows is this? Is that folder on the desktop? And are you running any Norton PRODUCTS on that machine ? ?Nortion IS 06 and no it is not on the desktopWhat do you mean by not on the desktop.Check the folder attributes as well as the files in the folder. Remove any R, H, or S attributes. Delete the folder. Make sure that any program that might be using one of the files is not running.Turn off the Norton protection for the recycle bin feature...ok gous I am going to try all the stuff you recomended tonight I will get back to you all in a couple of hours.And?...............
