I have installed windows xp(sp2) O.S. on my computer(desktop). I am having Mercury motherboard, (PI945GZD). When i am installing audio driver (Realtek AC'97 Audio 3.96) driver, a error message appearing on screen.... The software you are installing has not passed windows logo testing to verify its compatibility with windows xp. . and also with button option continue and stop installation. I have also chaged the setting. to ignore the error.... control panel->system->hardware->Driver signing->then chose to ignore->ok. and installed audio driver and then i changed ignore to warn as it was before.. but still SOUND is not coming in my computer.... Even though i have installed 3 times O.S. with different xp 2 CD....But result is same ...there is no sound device is active ... and I have also logged in as a administrator...........What should i do???
Can ANYBODY help me please.............. Thanks a ton in advance........Hi, It's really import that you use the correct AC97 driver for your motherboard. Is it the driver that is on the motherboard CD. I see it is available to download from. http://www.mercury-pc.com/downloads_list.php?productid=718 Perhaps if the driver isn't loading you should try the download version.
Regarding the error you RECEIVED, visit this link for (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822798) certain cause and solutions you are encounteringpls tel me what i should do to get sound back Vijay70 You should start by starting your own thread. Try installing your sound driver from mother board driver DISK, when you get error, then select continue anyway.Quote from: Sangpuiipa on July 11, 2011, 10:14:50 AM Try installing your sound driver from mother board driver disk, when you get error, then select continue anyway.
