We took out the hard drive and plugged it up to the cable and our working computer. When we do we get an error (down in the bottom right corner) saying: Usb device not recognized. One of the usb devises attached to this computer has malfunctioned for assistance click here... When we click there it just says to look up drivers for the usb thing.. no drivers found. I did install the drivers for the cables just to see if maybe the computer wasnt reading it due to that... Anyone have any ideas or know what I could be doing wrong? Tyia! When you click on my computer, you should see the other HDD as another letter, if it's working. Can you hear the HDD spinning? Perhaps you should contact the maker of the cable to see if they can help. Yes I can hear the drive spinning... The maker of the cable is Diablo tech.. How many letters were TAKEN up ? ? If you right click My Computer and select Manage and then Disk Management how are all the drives being reported in there ? ?
