Answer» HI I NEED HEPL WITH MY WIN XP, IT DOES RECOGNIZE usb FLASH CARDS AS A NEW HARDWARE, BUT THE FLASH CARD DOESNT APPEAR ANYWHERE ON THE W-EXPLORER. THE ONLY OPTION I HAVE IS "SAFETLY REMOVE THE DEVICE". I HAVE HAD ALSO THE EXPERIENCE WITH OTHER PC WIN XP WHICH DIDNT DETECT ANYTHING WHEN I PUT THE FLASH. WHAT SHOULD I DO IN ORDER TO USE FLASH CARDS ON THESE PC-S p.s. i am sure the usb ports are connected and active thank you Please lose the caps, it makes the post harder to read. Have you tried using device manager to remove the drivers for the device? What exactly is this device? You mention "usb data traveller" in the post title, but then mention flash cards - what is it? And how are you connecting it?it is kingston data traveler usb devise. most of the pc, which is running with xp detect the device imediatelly when i put it in the usb port, but there are pc-s which didn't. the case one is - happens nothing the case two is - i got the little thing down RIGHT, where is written:"safetly remove hardware", but when i open the win explorer i don't see the device anywhere. was i clear now? - my english is not very good OK, I get you now. So on some computers, the device is not detected at all, and on others it appears in "SAFELY remove hardware" but not in Windows Explorer. But on other computers it works fine. Is that right? If so, are there any differences between the PCs that do and don't recognize the device? Are you sure its working on some computers.
Just WANT to make sure your usb is fine.no, i dont think so regular machines - they all have windows xp. / i know that 98 needs a driver / i dont know, may be there are difference between them, but how can i understand that yes, it works on my office MACHINE, but it doesnt work on some other machinesGoto Device Manager and try deleting everything under usb heading.
Then restart the machine.I'LL TRY THIS THANK YOU
