Answer» It is it possible for an intruder to be hiding in my computer? My ex-boyfriend who is a genius 1computer engineer and his goal in life is to sabotage my life, I believe he somehow could be in my computer. Am I being paranoid or is it possible? There are just too many weird things happening like...constantly new files appearing from nowhere....viewed websites that I have not been near...new hardware...FONTS going different SIZES...etc. Also, I know I don't belong to a domain, but sometimes it appears as though I am! I am not that computer smart but I am not a dummy. Please help me!Reformat and REINSTALL. That's the only way to know nothing of the nature he might have installed is hiding.
Or if you know someone who can look for something your ex has put there to spy on you then have them look, then report your ex to the police if anything is found. It might seem like a game to him but it's actually ILLEGAL.
Good luck! Also: how do you access the Internet? My honest reply is to just stop using that computer.
If you need a computer, go buy a used one that has a warranty. That is quick and easy. The keyboard, mouse and monitor are all OK to use again. You just need a new bx, which you can get for a little over $100 plus shipping. The old PC may have evidence that he was harassing you. So you may want to keep it. It sounds like he is definitely in there, and if so, i know its not freeware but INSTALL norton. I have it, and i acant even run a bug to paractice. It hasnt let me down yet. It is fairly cheap 2. Sorry about your guy problems. Sometimes we can be real b***** A good keylogger or even a high tech piece of hardware won't be detected by anything. Trust me, Norton or any antivirus is not bullet proof. Far from it actually...Thats why we have you EF.
